1.7 Specific safety rules for cordless screwdriver
›
Hold the power tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where
the fastener may contact hidden wiring.
Fasteners contacting a “live” wire may make expo-
sed metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock.
›
Be sure to hold this tool firmly.
When tightening and loosening screws, there may be a
brief strong kickback.
›
Secure the workpiece.
Clamping devices or a vise will hold the workpiece in place better
and more safely than holding it by hand.
›
Keep your hands away from the working part of the bits to avoid injury.
Do not remo-
ve dust, debris or waste by hand near the bits during operating.
›
Be sure to turn off the switch and wait for the tool to stop completely before putting
it down.
›
Do not touch bits and screws immediately after use.
They may be very hot and could
burn skin when touching them after use.
›
Do not expose this tool to rain or snow.
›
Do not burn this tool or leave it in the fire; it will cause explosion.
›
Before turning screws on walls, floors, and ceilings, carefully check whether there
are wires, cables, natural gas pipes, or water pipes that may be damaged.
