Web interface of the access point
24
Wieland Electric GmbH | BA001098 | 09/2016 (Rev. A)
Adapt the parameters of the interface configuration to the requirements of your network. The basic parameters
may be found under
Common Configuration
, e.g. the IP address, network screen, gateway and DNS server.
Instead of a static IP address, you can also dynamically obtain an IP address through one of the external DHCP
servers in your LAN. To do this, select the
DHCP client
option under
Protocol
.
You will find the MAC address of the LAN interface for overwriting in the
Advanced Settings
, if required.
The
Physical Settings
are important in order to operate the access point in various modes, such as network
bridge or router mode. The WLAN interface eth0.1 given here is identical to the physical Ethernet interface of
the access point.
Please note that, when using an amended LAN interface configuration, you may lose
access to the access point website, for example by changing the IP addresses. In order to
regain access, you may need to re-adapt the IP configuration of your PC.
NOTE
8.6.2
DHCP server
You can see whether the DHCP server has been activated or not, as explained in the Section
DHCP server
.
