The GSD file contains standard error text for the extended
PROFIBUS diagnostics. The configuration tool displays this
diagnostics text automatically in the event of a fault. The user
can thus detect the reason for a fault without needing to carry
out the error coding via the PLC.
The GSD file for
podis
DRIVE
is called Podis.GSD. The
current version can found on the internet under
http:\\www.wieland-electric.com
The integration of the GSD file is indicated in the following
sections using the example of the SIMATIC Step7 software.
Example: Import of the GSD file into SIMATIC Step7
The process described here and the screenshots
refer to SIMATIC Step7 version 5.1. The current
documentation for the Step7 configuration software
is valid.
The GSD file can be easily installed in the SIMATIC Manager.
