2. General safety instructions

The machine is designed and constructed to
the present state of the art and recognized
technical safety standards. If conforms to
European safety standards. It is equipped
with various electrical circuit breakers, which
serve as safety devices. Nevertheless, dan-
gers may occur, primarily on improper use or
as a result of ignoring the information in the
Operating Instructions.

2.1 Sources of danger
Non-prescribed usage

Any usage of the machine not covered by
„Prescribed usage“ or not serving contractu-
ally agreed applications is not

permissible

.

Use of the machine in an unserviceable con-
dition or not in compliance with the following
regulations is

prohibited:

– Protective devices shall not be removed

or bypassed

– Conversions and modifications to the pro-

duct are not permitted.

2.2 Organizational points

It is the responsibility of the operator to ensure
that:
– the machine is used only by persons who

have been instructed in its handling and
are authorized to use it

– the recognized occupational safety regu-

lations are observed

– any further national or company regula-

tions are observed

– all users are familiar with the safety regula-

tions and have been trained in the use of
the specific machine

– all users have read and understood the

Operating Instructions before using the
machine

– responsibilities for operation, maintenan-

ce and repair of the machine are clearly
assigned and observed

– faults and damage are immediately noti-

fied to the service agency.

2.3 Emergencies

– In case of fire, fight it with powder extin-

guishers

– Immediately apply recognized first-aid

measures

After incidents, do not resume operation with
the machine until it has been inspected by
Wetrok.

2.4 Emergency shut-down/
emergency stop/safety devices

Suction nozzle

The suction nozzle is equipped with a safety
limit switch  (E2). On opening/swivelling to
the right of the suction nozzle, power to the
whole machine is interrupted –> the motor
shuts off immediately.

Refuse bag

The refuse bag is also equipped with a safe-
ty contact plug (D) to interrupt the power.

Interruption of traction without driver

Traction is activated by a mechanical drive
control lever (J1). In the rest position, the
machine is not driven. This prevents inadver-
tent driverless motion of the machine. The
traction drive has a parking brake (F), which
prevents the machine from rolling away.

2.5 Operating for the first time

Delivery, instruction on the safety rules,
handling and maintenance, as well as opera-
tion for the first time are normally carried out
by a specialist authorized by Wetrok. Where
this is not the case, the operator is responsi-
ble for instructing the users. Further safety
instructions concerning operating and main-
tenance are detailed in the relevant sections
and must be complied with without fail!

3. Operating

3.1 Safety instructions

Do not suck up burning material such
as cigars, cigarettes or glowing ashes

During operation, caution must be
exercised with respect to third parties,
especially children

Wear robust shoes or boots and wear
ear protection

Before cleaning and servicing the
machine or exchanging parts, switch
off the traction and the main switch.

Model with gasoline engine
Warning!
Risk of burn injury:

In the region of the

exhaust there is a risk of burns. A warning
sign alerts to this risk.

Risk to life:

The exhaust gases contain car-

bon monoxide, an odourless and deadly poi-
son. Do not refuel machines in closed,
unventilated areas.

Risk of explosion:

Do not store, spill or

use gasoline next to an open flame or appli-
ances such as ovens, heaters or water hea-
ters that work with a continuous flame or can
generate sparks.
Do not let the engine run when gasoline has
been spilt or can be smelt or if other risks of
explosion exist.

Smoking is absolutely forbidden!

Model with electric motor
Warning!
Risk of caustic burns:

Avoid skin and eye

contact. Do not imbibe the contents!

Risk of injury/burns:

The terminals of the

batteries must never be short-circuited by
hand or with conducting objects!

3.2 Limitation to use

Gasoline-powered Parker Vacs shall be used
for cleaning outdoors only.

3.3 Preliminary work

– Remove coarse dirt before vacuuming

(large stones, string, wire, large pieces of
cardboard, glass, metal, sharp-edged
objects

– Before starting the machine, make sure

the correct refuse bag is attached and the
suction nozzle is fixed

– Check whether air intake regions are cle-

an and free

– The safety contact plug (D) must be inser-

ted

Model with gasoline engine

– Before working in the region of the expo-

sed turbine, remove the ignition cable from
the sparking plug. Overrun is possible!

– Check the oil level and replenish if neces-

sary with commercially available oil up to
the mark „F“ on the dipstick.

Model with electric motor

– Check whether the batteries are charged

(switch on the main switch (H2) –> battery
charge indicator/voltmeter (H1) should be
in the green range). If the pointer of the
charge indicator (H1) is in the red range,
the battery is discharged. Work must be
interrupted at once to avoid a deep
discharge. Charging the battery: see sec-
tions 4.1 and 4.2.
