Using
LCD Backlight
The LCD backlight of your unit automatically lights up for 5 seconds when
a button is pressed in operation mode.
Automatic Squelch
The device is equipped with an automatic squelch system. Weak trans-
missions and noises will be cut off automatically.
Selecting the Channel
1.
In operation mode press the power button (3) once. The system
switches into set-up mode. The channel icon (A) blinks.
2.
Press the up (9) or down (7) button to select the desired channel.
3.
Press the transmit button (5) to confirm the selected channel.
Setting up the Time
1.
In operation mode press the power button (3) once. The system
switches into set-up mode.
2.
Press the power button several times until the hour digit (C) blinks.

Press up (9) and down (7) to set up the “hour” digit. Please note that
this clock displays the time with digits running from 0 to 12. At the time
between midnight and 12 o’clock at noon the “am” (D) indicator is
displayed. Between 12 o’clock at noon and midnight a “pm” indicator is
displayed. The time “1 pm” corresponds to 13 o’clock.

Press the power button (3) one more time and the “minute” digit blinks.
The “minutes” can be set up now by pressing the up (9) and down (7)
button.
5.
Press the transmit button (5) to confirm the settings.
Setting up the Call Alert Tone
1.
In operation mode press the power button (3) once. The system
switches into set-up mode.
2.
Press the power button several times until the call alert tone symbol
(F) blinks. Now you hear the current call alert tone.
3.
Press the up (9) button to toggle between the current alert tone and an
alternative alert tone. The alert tone is played back each time you
