Using
Transmitting and Receiving
Press
and
hold the transmit button (5) and speak with your dialogue
partner. Hold the unit about 2 - 3 inches away from your mouth and
speak into the microphone (4). While transmitting the “Tx” icon (G)
appears.
Release the transmit button (5) when you have finished talking. Now
you can receive messages from your dialogue partner.
The “Rx” icon (H) is displayed while receiving an incoming transmis-
sion.
Erect the antenna to optimize the transmitting- / receiving perform-
ance.
Channel Scan
Press the scan button (1) to start scanning. The display shows the
channels running in an endless loop from 1 - 8. It pauses on an active
transmitting channel but will resume scanning as soon as the detected
transmission lapses.
Press the transmit button (5) to exit scanning mode.
Setting up the Volume
Press the buttons up (9) and down (7) to increase or decrease the
volume level in seven possible steps. The volume level (B) is graphi-
cally displayed.
Sending a Call Alert Tone
Rapidly press the transmit button (5) twice to transmit a call alert tone
on the selected channel. During transmission the call icon (F) is dis-
played and you hear a call alert tone confirming the operation. Use the
call alert tone to get into contact with your dialogue partner.
Voice Operated Transmission (VOX)
Your Walkie Talkie is equipped with an adjustable voice operated
transmitter (VOX). Using this mode transmission is automatically initiated
by speaking into the microphone. There is no need to push the transmit
button (5) each time.
