w

CAUTION

 Cut Hazard.

Discs are sharp; handle discs with care.

1.

Unplug. Disassemble food mill by removing lid, auger assembly, milling disc,

and base from food bowl. For more instruction, see “To Disassemble.”

2.

Wipe base with a damp cloth. Never place in water, dishwasher, or rinse under

running water or other liquid.

3.

Use a soft bristle brush to clean milling discs.

4.

Food bowl, lid, auger assembly, and milling discs are dishwasher-safe in TOP

rack of dishwasher. DO NOT use the “SANI” setting when washing in the

dishwasher, as “SANI” cycle temperatures could damage your product.

5.

For storage, place milling discs cone side up in food bowl with auger assembly

on its side. Reconnect base and secure lid assembly.

Unit will not turn on.

•  Base is not properly attached to food bowl. Make sure base is locked into place on

food bowl lock.

•  Safety interlock switch is not engaged. Ensure that lid is properly connected to

food bowl. Tab on lid must be inserted into safety interlock switch and lid latches

secured.

No food is coming out of the discs.

•  Auger is not installed properly. Check to make sure auger is turning while unit is

running. Reinstall if necessary.

•  Milling disc is not installed properly. Make sure only one milling disc is installed at

a time and that dome side is facing up with auger assembly pin inserted into center

hole.

•  Wrong-sized milling disc is inserted. Make sure appropriate milling disc is installed

for food type and recipe being used.

•  Food has not been properly cut or cooked. Foods must be cut to a 1-inch (2.5 cm)

cube and be cooked to the appropriate doneness for the recipe.

•  Milling disc holes are clogged with seeds or skins. Operate motor in reverse for one

rotation for every two forward rotations of the auger when milling. Using spatula,

scrape bottom of the milling disc into bowl regularly. Foods with large amounts of

seeds or skins may require disassembling unit to clean disc more thoroughly.

Food Mill making a clicking noise.

•  Food has built up in the food bowl. Remove seeds and/or skin and continue

processing.

•  Food might be undercooked. Cook food a little longer.
