Using
Do not leave packaging material carelessly lying around since it
could become a dangerous plaything for children.
Inserting the Batteries
1. Turn the lid upside down and open the battery compartment.
Insert 4 batteries of the type D into the compartment, observing
correct polarity.
2. Close the battery compartment again.
Operation
1. Insert a garbage bag into the bin and wrap
the bag around the fastening ring.
2. Press the ON/OFF switch (8) at the rear side
of the lid. The LED (4) turns on red for some
seconds and indicates that the unit is ready
for use.
3. Move your hand approx. 10 cm in front of the
sensors (6) and the lid will open automatically. The lid will stay
opened for approx. 6 seconds and close again automatically.
4. To keep the lid opened for longer time, press the button OPEN
(3). The lid will stay opened until you press the button CLOSE
(5).
Hints:
When pressing the button OPEN, the automatic opening process
will be interrupted. The lid can only be closed again by pressing
the button CLOSE.
Protect the sensors from direct sunlight.
Cleaning
Always switch off the unit by pressing the ON/OFF switch (8)
before cleaning it.
