1.4 Chassis Disassembly
Note:
Crypto Secure Erase may not be available on all drives.
Step 2 :
Verify data cannot be accessed by attempting reads to the drive. The data that exists on the
drive will no longer be accessible, because the encryption key has been deleted.

Chassis Disassembly
This procedure provides instructions for disassembling an OpenFlex Data24 Chassis.

Step 1 :
Follow the instructions for removing the enclosure from the rack (see the Chassis Disassembly
section of the OpenFlex Data24 User Guide).
Step 2 :
Place the OpenFlex Data24 on an ESD-safe work surface, and ensure ESD safety equipment is
installed and working properly.
Step 3 :
Uninstall the Drive Assemblies.

At the front of the enclosure, press the release button on the front of a Drive Assembly. The
release handle will rotate outward:
