6. Functional Check
6.1 Intervals
Carry out a functional check on the unit at least
every 6 months.
If you notice defects during the functional check,
you should not use the breath humidifier again
until these faults have been rectified.
6.2 Performance
1. Carry out a visual check of the plastic
housing
In the case of cracks/damage or heavy
soiling the plastic parts or seals must be
replaced.
2. Fill up the breath humidifier to the mark-
ing with water.
3. Check that the breath humidifier is tight.
4. Pour out the water.
5. Now add 50 ml water.
6. Snap the breath humidifier onto the ther-
apy unit.
7. Insert the red drying adapter (supplied
with your therapy unit) in the outlet con-
nection stub

of the breath humidifier.
8. Attach the tube system to the drying
adapter.
9. Switch on the therapy unit.
10. Switch on the breath humidifier by press-
ing the humidifier button on the thera-
py unit.
11. Set the therapy unit to heating position 6.
12. Check that the breath humidifier is heat-
ing up.
