Malfunctions and solutions

MACHINE LACKING POWER
t
The general switch is in the "OFF" position.
t
The machine switch is defective.
t
The mains power supply switch is in the OFF position.
t
The wiring is defective.
t
Place the main switch in the "ON" position.
t
Replace the main switch.
t
Place the main switch in the ON position.
t
Check for any faulty connections.
NO WATER IN BOILER
t
The water supply tap is closed.
t
The cut-off tap of the automatic level device is closed.
t
The pump filter is clogged.
t
The motor pump is disconnected or jammed.
t
The water filling solenoid valve is defective.
t
The water inlet solenoid valve filter is clogged.
t
Open the water supply tap.
t
Open the automatic level device tap.
t
Substitute the pump filter.
t
Check the motor pump.
t
Replace the water filling solenoid valve.
t
Clean or replace the filter of the solenoid valve.
TOO MUCH WATER IN THE BOILER
t
The solenoid valve of the automatic level device is
defective.
t
The level probe is out of order (clogged by lime
scale).
t
Replace the solenoid valve of the automatic level
device.
t
Replace the level probe.
WATER LEAKS FROM THE MACHINE
t
The pad does not drain.
t
The drain pipe is broken or detached or the water
flow is obstructed.
t
Hydraulic leaks in the hydraulic circuit.
t
Check the sewer drain.
t
Check and restore the connection of the drain pipe
to the pad.
t
Restore the hydraulic seal by replacing the pipe, the
gasket or the fitting as necessary.
WATER LEAKS FROM THE DISPENSING
GROUP
t
Worn under cup seal.
t
Replace the seal.
THE PRESSURE GAUGE INDICATES AN
UNACCEPTABLE PRESSURE
t
The pressure gauge is faulty.
t
Incorrect pressure switch calibration.
t
Incorrect motor pump calibration.
t
Replace the gauge.
t
Adjust the calibration of the pressure switch.
t
Adjust the calibration of the motor pump.
THE SAFETY VALVE STARTED OPERATING
t
The pressure transducer is broken.
t
The electronic control is faulty.
t
Check for correct operation of the pressure trans-
ducer. Replace the safety valve only with original
spare part.
t
Check for proper operation of the electronic system.
STEAM DOES NOT COME OUT OF NOZZLES
t
The machine is off.
t
The electrical heating element is faulty.
t
The temperature probe is faulty.
t
The nozzle sprayer is clogged.
t
Safety thermostat deactivated or faulty.
t
Turn on the machine.
t
Replace the boiler's electrical heating element.
t
Replace the temperature probe.
t
Clean the steam nozzle sprayer.
t
Reactivate the thermostat or replace it.
STEAM MIXED WITH WATER COMES OUT
OF THE STEAM SPOUTS
t
The level of the boiler is too high due to an incorrect
location of the level probe in the boiler or due to the
presence of limestone.
t
Leakage from boiler filling solenoid valve.
t
Check the status of the level probe: check if it is posi-
tioned correctly and check for any surface lime scale.
t
Clean and replace the filling solenoid valve.
NO COFFEE DISPENSING
t
No water supply.
t
The group solenoid valve is faulty.
t
The pump is jammed.
t
The group solenoid valve is clogged or dirty.
t
The group filter is clogged.
t
The volumetric dosing device is blocked.
t
The inlet and outlet taps of the dispenser are closed.
t
Check that there is water in the mains.
t
Replace the group solenoid valve.
t
Replace the pump.
t
Clean or replace the solenoid valve.
t
Clean or replace the filter.
t
Check/replace the dosing device.
t
Open the taps.
WET COFFEE GROUNDS
t
The group solenoid valve drain is clogged.
t
The dispensing group is too cold.
t
Coffee is ground too finely.
t
There's not enough ground coffee.
t
Clean the group drain.
t
Wait for unit to heat up completely.
t
Adjust the grinding of the coffee.
t
Increase the amount of ground coffee.
