1.1 Description of Operation
This air handler is a direct gas-fired applianc8e. It is
designed for indoor or o
u
tdoor installation
w
ith fresh
o
u
tdoor air deli
v
ered to the
bu
rner. Air handlers are
designed to operate in temperat
u
res as lo
w
as -40 °F
(-40 °C). The air handler is factory-tested to fire
w
ith
nat
u
ral gas or LPG (check the air handler's rating
plate for information on the appropriate type of f
u
el).
The
bu
rner
w
ill operate to maintain the selected
discharge air temperat
u
re or room/space air
temperat
u
re, depending on the selected options.

1.2 Inspection and Setup
The air handler is shipped in m
u
ltiple sections
b
ased
on the config
u
ration selected. The air handler
w
as
inspected and operated prior to shipment.
Immediately
u
pon receipt of the air handler, check
the f
u
el and electrical characteristics of the air
handler and
v
erify that they match the f
u
el and
electrical s
u
pply a
v
aila
b
le. Verify that the
specifications on the air handler rating plate match
the order. Check the air handler for any damage that
may ha
v
e occ
u
rred d
u
ring shipment. If any damage
is fo
u
nd, file a claim
w
ith the transporting agency. Do
not ref
u
se shipment. Check the installation location
to ens
u
re proper clearances to com
bu
sti
b
les.
