MAINTENANCE:
Be careful when adjusting the Tufting Tool. Incorrect adjustment to the
tool will cause the cut pile scissors to not work.
Add a drop of sewing machine oil (not included) to each linear bearing weekly to keep the machine
running smoothly. Add a drop of sewing machine oil to the scissor joint monthly. Use canned air or
remove the Tufting Tool cover and use a small brush to clean yarn fuzz out of the Tufting Tool. To
remove the Tufting Tool cover, remove the 5 screws from the cover and pull apart.
SWITCHING FROM CUT PILE TO LOOP PILE:
To switch the Tufting Tool from cut pile to loop pile, unscrew the bolt on the front side of the
machine and remove the small metal block. This will prevent the scissors in the machine from
moving forward and cutting the yarn. To switch back to cut pile, reinsert the metal block in the
same direction you removed it.
