Series 994-FS and 994RPDA-FS are each equipped with an integrated
flood sensor that detects excessive relief valve discharges and triggers
notification of potential flood events. An add-on sensor connection kit
activates the alert system for use with building management systems
or cellular communication networks. A retrofit sensor connection kit
is available for existing installations. See “Add-on and Retrofit Sensor
Connection Kits,” at the end of this document for the qualifying series
and valve sizes.

Need for Periodic Inspection/Maintenance:
This product must
be tested periodically in compliance with local codes, but at least
once per year or more as service conditions warrant. Corrosive
water conditions, and/or unauthorized adjustments or repair could
render the product ineffective for the service intended. Regular
checking and cleaning of the product’s internal components helps
assure maximum life and proper product function.

local codes, but at least once per year or more as ser vice
con di tions warrant. If installed on a fire sprinkler system all
me chan i cal checks, such as alarm checks, single checks and
backflow preventers should be inspected internally every one
to five years in accordance with NFPA 13 A and NFPA 25.
