Attach the servo horn to the Z-Bend, then attach the servo

horn to the servo, making sure it's centered.

The pushrod should be toward the top of the servo arm,

as shown.

Install and tighten the servo horn retaining screw, provided

with your servo, to secure the servo horn into place.

Repeat the previous procedures to install the second aileron control horn and pushrod assembly on the half of

the wing.

Step 4:  Installing the Elevator Pushrod Assembly

Install the elevator pushrod assembly using the same

techniques as installing the aileron pushrod assemblies.

The

only difference is that the elevator control horn should
be installed 5/16" out from the inside edge of the elevator.

This will ensure that the control horn doesn't interfere with
the nylon bushing you installed previously in the elevator.

Don't forget to install and tighten the servo arm retaining

screw so that the servo arm doesn't come off during flight.

Excel Modeling Knife

Scissors

K&S 30 Watt Soldering Iron

YOU'LL NEED THE FOLLOWING PARTS FROM THE KIT:

(1) Double-Sided Foam Tape

SECTION 9:  ESC & RECEIVER INSTALLATION

YOU'LL NEED THE FOLLOWING TOOLS AND SUPPLIES:

Solder

Heat-Shrink Tubing

Step 1:  Installing the Electronic Speed Control

Important Tip:

Before installing your ESC check to make sure that the battery wires are long enough to reach the

battery compartment in the bottom of the fuselage.  The wires should be at least 5" long from the ESC to the plug.

Even More Important Tip:

To minimize current loss, it is imperative that you remove the stock Tamiya connector

likely preinstalled on your ESC and flight battery, and replace them with a high-quality connector, such as a Dean's
Ultra-Plug.  Failure to do this can cause a loss of power and result in a poor flying airplane.

IMPORTANT

If you are planning on installing the optional landing gear and steerable nose gear, save the scrap piece of

elevator pushrod wire.  This piece will be used for the steering linkage.
