❑
Slide the cowling into place and align it. When aligned properly,
the front of the cowling should be centered around, and be flush with or
slightly behind, the front of the gear box. The black anti-glare shield
masking lines on the cowling should line up with the corresponding
black anti-glare shield masking lines on the fuselage, too.
❑
When satisfied with the alignment, use pieces of masking tape to hold
the cowling securely in place.
❑
With the cowling held firmly in place and aligned, drill three 1/16"
diameter pilot holes into the cowling and through the sides of the
fuselage. Drill one hole through the top of the cowling and one hole
through each side of the cowling, 1/8" in front of the back edge of
the cowling.
❑
Using a pair of scissors, carefully cut out the molded air-exit scoop
in the bottom of the cowling.

✦
To allow the cowling to be pushed back far enough to line up with the front of the gear box, you may need to trim
the back edge of the cowling shorter, using a pair of scissors.
❑
Secure your motor assembly to the firewall, using three M3 x 12mm
wood screws.
