Test-fit and glue the two windscreens to the fuselage, using a thin
bead of Formula 560 Canopy Glue. Remove any excess glue, using a
paper towel and water, and use pieces of masking tape to hold the
windscreens in place until the glue completely dries.
STEP 3: INSTALLING THE ELECTRONIC SPEED CONTROL
❑
Carefully solder the positive and negative motor wires to the motor wires on your ESC, being careful that the polarity is correct.
Make sure to use heat-shrink tubing to insulate the solder joints.
☞
If you're using the WattAge IC-15A Micro ESC and the WattAge 370 power system, simply plug the compatible bullet connec-
tors together, making sure that the polarity is correct. No soldering is required.
❑
Mount your ESC to the balsa plate in front of the forward bulkhead,
using a piece of double-sided foam tape.
❑
If your ESC features a micro switch, mount it in a convenient place on the side of the fuselage, using two small wood screws
(not included).
STEP 4: INSTALLING THE RECEIVER
❑
Mount your receiver to the middle of the balsa plate, using a piece
of double-sided foam tape.
❑
To run the antenna, drill a small hole through the bottom of the fuselage just behind the wing saddle, then feed the antenna out
through the hole and tape it to the back of the fuselage, using a small piece of clear tape.
☞
Use pieces of clear tape to secure the antenna to the fuselage side in the wing saddle. This will keep the antenna from getting
caught in the elevator, rudder or aileron linkages.
