Remove the masking tape from the rudder and double-check that both the servo arm and the rudder are still centered. If the
rudder is not centered, adjust the clevis until it is. Move the rudder right and left several times to ensure that the pushrod assembly
does not bind. It should operate smoothly.

With the rudder and the servo arm centered, mark and make a
Z-Bend in the pushrod wire, then attach the servo horn to the Z-Bend
and reinstall the pushrod assembly, making sure that the servo arm
is centered.

Double-check that the rudder is centered, then reinstall the clevis
and install and tighten the servo horn retaining screw, provided with your
servo, to secure the servo horn into place.

SECTION 12: AILERON CONTROL SYSTEM INSTALLATION
STEP 1: INSTALLING THE AILERON SERVO

Center the plywood aileron servo tray over the servo cutout in the
top of the wing.

While holding the servo tray in place, trace around it, using a pencil.
❑
Use a piece of masking tape, taped between the rudder and the stabilizer, to hold the rudder centered.
❑
Plug the rudder servo into your receiver, then plug your ESC into the receiver and your flight battery into the ESC . Turn on your
radio system and center the servo, using the rudder trim lever on your transmitter.
❑
Using a modeling knife, cut away and remove all but one arm from a "4-point" servo horn.
❑
Enlarge the hole in the servo arm that is 5/16" out from the center of the servo arm, using a 1/16" diameter drill bit.
❑
Attach the servo horn to the servo, making sure that it's centered and points toward the fuselage side.
