PVID
Function name:
PVID
Function description:
In PVID Setting, user can input VID number to each port. The range of VID number is from 1 to 4094.
You can also can choose ingress filtering rule (Rule 2) to each port. The Ingress Filtering Rule 2 is
“drop untagged frames”. While Rule 2 is enabled, the port will discard all Untagged-frames.

PVID:
The PVID range will be 1-4094. Before you set a number x as PVID, you have to create a Tag-
based VLAN with VID x. For example, if port x receives an untagged packet, the switch will
apply the PVID (assume as VID y) of port x to tag this packet. The packet then will be
forwarded as the tagged packet with VID y.
Default Priority:
Default priority is based on 802.1p QoS and affects untagged packets. When packets enter the
switch, the priority precedence according to the Default Priority setting and map to 802.1p
priority setting in the QoS function is followed. For example, while you set Default Priority of port
2 with 2 and transmit untagged packets to port 2, these packets will follow priority 2 precedence
and will be placed into Queue 1.
