Selecting a location for outdoor unit
Avoid locations exposed to direct sunlight or other heat sources.
Select a location from which noise emitted by the unit will not inconven-
ience neighbours.
Select a location permitting easy wiring and pipe access to the power
source and indoor unit.
Avoid locations where combustible gases may leak, be produced, flow,
or accumulate.
Please note that water may drain from unit during operation
Select a level location that can handle the weight and vibration of the
unit.
Avoid locations where the unit could be covered by snow. To prevent
snow from blocking or blowing against the air intake in regions subject
to heavy snowfall, special precautions are required, such as raising the
installation location or installing a protective cover in front of the air in-
take. This could reduce airflow, and thus cause malfunctions.
Avoid locations exposed to oil, steam, or sulphuric gas.
To ensure stability, we recommend the use of two concrete brackets in
combination with a gravel bed for condensed water drainage.
The base plate and mounting parts for the outdoor unit must be
checked for looseness, cracks and other damages on a regular basis. If
such damages are not repaired, the unit - depending on location -
could drop and cause injuries or property damage.
Risk of injury!
Carrying unit from the bottom poses the risk of crushing hands or fingers
Use the four carrying handles to transport the outdoor unit.
