Charging refrigerant circuit
Requirements:
Refrigerant line connections between outdoor and indoor unit have
been established.
Tube airtight test has been performed (pressure test).
The outdoor unit is fully charged with (R410A) refrigerant (in factory).
Valves on outdoor unit are closed (factory default setting).
Required tools:
Vacuum pump, hexagon wrench (4 mm).
Procedure:
1. Connect vacuum pump to indoor unit
(Schrader valve, opens automatically).
2. Start vacuum pump.
3. When using a high-performance vacuum pump, the required vacuum
is generated after 70 minutes (-101 kPa / 5 torr).
4. Remove connecting hose from vacuum pump
(Schrader valve, closes automatically).
5. Open both valves on the outdoor unit.
The refrigerant flows into the entire system.
How to open valves:
Remove both protective caps.
To open left valve (liquid side) you need a 4 mm Allen key (see fig.).
Turn Allen key counter clockwise to stop position (about 10 turns).
Quit turning when stop is reached.
