FAULT
PROBABLE CAUSE
POSSIBLE REMEDY
No throughput (with power reduction
at normal rotation speed). (1)
Tubes clogged and/or suction points
clogged.
Clean tubes and hoods, check posi-
tion of valves.
Rotation speeds too low.
Check supply voltage and check
terminal connections of motor; check
transmission ratio, check to ensure
belts do not slip.
Direction of rotation reversed.
Check connection of windings inside
motors junction box.
Filter overload.
Increase activation frequency of auto-
matic cleaning device (where envis-
aged) or act manually.
Changes in cross-section, sudden
and close bending of the tubes.
Check aeraulic circuit layout.
Unexpected widening or bends which
do not allow normal recovery of dy-
namic pressure in delivery.
Check aeraulic circuit layout.
Excessive air flow (if the rotation
speed is correct, high power draws
for radial suction units with forward
curved blade).
Rotation speed.
Check the direction of rotation; check
for particular turbulence conditions at
the suction.
Check rotation speed in motor at sup-
ply voltage, check for winding flows.
Air flows through access door, badly
constructed tubes or badly installed
components, or valve not adjusted
correctly.
Check the system and reposition the
components correctly.
Excessive power loss.
Adjust the air inlet valve.
Fuses not suitable.
Replace them.
Hard fan rotation.
Clean the suction area and replace
motor, if necessary.
Pressure insufficient.
Rotation speeds too low.

Throughput higher than the envisaged
values due to incorrect sizing of circuits
or air temperature significantly different
from reference value of 15 C°.
Modify the transmission ratio and/or
replace fan, resize the circuit.
Impeller partially blocked and/or dam-
aged.
Check the assembly position and
condition of impeller.
