11.  AIR EMISSIONS AND EFFICIENCY

In accordance with Article 10 of the Regulation on the emission of substances into air from small
combustion appliances (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia No. 46/19), before placing a
new combustion appliance on the market, measurements of emissions of substances into air shall
be carried out by a measurement provider accredited according to the SIST EN ISO/IC 17025
standard: for a solid-fuel-fired combustion appliance with a rated thermal input less than or equal to
500 kW, which is not a one-room combustion appliance, according to the EN 303-5 standard.

The small combustion appliances of the GT series have been tested in accordance with this
requirement at the accredited laboratory of Kiwa Cermet Italia S.p.A., according to the standard:
SIST EN 303-5:2012. An extract of the measurement report is summarised in the table below.

The air emissions of small combustion appliances type GT do not exceed the limit values prescribed
by the Regulation on the emission of substances into air from small combustion appliances (Official
Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 46/19) and are suitable for sale and use from the point of
view of air emissions on the Slovenian market until 31.12.2019.

The small combustion appliance VIVA GT 35 complies with the conditions set out in Article 3 of
Commission Regulation (EU) 2015/1189 implementing Directive 2009/125/EC of the European
Parliament and of the Council with regard to ecodesign requirements for solid fuel-fired boilers
and is suitable for sale and use on the Slovenian market from the point of view of air emissions
and efficiency after 31.12.2019.

Air emissions from small combustion appliances depend to a large extent on the quality of the
fuel, in particular the ash content and the water content. For the purpose of the testing, firewood
complying with EN 14961-5, sampled according to EN 14778, were used. The test fuel data is
summarised in the table below. The parameters refer to wet fuel in its raw state.
