“Status query via channel 8” Function
Channel 8 has two different functions:
•
“Fusing load circuits” function:
Analogous to channel 1 ... 7, channel 8 also protects load circuits against
short circuits and overload.
•
“Status query” function:
The status of channels 1 … 7 can be queried. If one of channels 1 … 7 is
tripped, this channel is also deactivated.
Depending on the selected configuration, one of the two functions is activated.
The “Status query” function is explained below.
Protect output against voltage peaks!
Voltage peaks can occur at the output when a relay connected to the unit is
deactivated. This can damage or destroy the signal output. We recommend
installing a recovery diode in parallel to the relay to prevent this.
Activate Function
1.
Set rotary switch to “RC”.
2.
Activate the function via the IO-Link interface.
Deactivate Function
1.
Set rotary switch to any current value or deactivate the function via the IO-
Link interface.
If the function is deactivated via the software, the trip current remains limited to
1 A. This value persists until manually set to a different current value.
