Measurement of U
LN
over 400 V
RMS
The following subsections describe all connection options of the I/O module in
networks with a neutral conductor for U
LN
> 400 V
RMS
.
Always use voltage transformers with reinforced insulation
It is essential to use voltage transformers (VTs) with reinforced insulation to
measure voltages above the nominal input voltage of the I/O module (U
LN
/U
LL
).
Furthermore, the N connection on the module side must be grounded.
Otherwise, touch-proof protection from the system may no longer be given in the
event of a fault. This can cause electric shock or burns.
7.6.2.1 Measurement in Grounded 3-Phase Networks with Neutral Conductor
For measurement in grounded 3-phase networks with a neutral conductor, the
I/O module offers 2 connection options:
• Voltage measurement on 3 line conductors
• Voltage measurement on 2 line conductors
