Device Description
The I/O Module 750-439 (8DI NAMUR Ex i) records digital control signals from
sensors located in the hazardous field area of zone 0 or 1. Supported are, for
example, NAMUR sensors, optocouplers, mechanical contacts or other actuating
elements.
The process image can be used to select channel by channel whether a positive
or negative switching sensor is connected. This means that both NAMUR break
contacts and NAMUR make contacts can be integrated into the control system
without changes
Installation only in zone 2 or in non-hazardous environments!
The installation of the WAGO I/O SYSTEM 750 fieldbus couplers/controllers and
I/O modules is only to be done in zone 2 or in non-hazardous environments.
The I/O module provides 8 input channels including channel-by-channel short-
circuit and open-circuit diagnostics and enables the direct, intrinsically safe
connection of sensors in 2-wire connection technology.
The sensors are connected to the CAGE CLAMP
®
connectors DI 1 to DI 8 and
0 V.
The assignment of the connections is described in the “Connectors” section.
Connection examples are shown in section “Connect Devices” > … >
“Connection Example(s)”.
The status of the input channels is indicated via green status LEDs. A color
change to red signals an open circuit or a short circuit.
The meaning of the LEDs is described in the “Display Elements” section.
Any configuration of the I/O module is possible within an intrinsically safe
segment when configuring the fieldbus node. An arrangement in groups within
the group of potentials is not necessary.
The I/O module 750-439 can be used with all fieldbus couplers/controllers of the
WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM 750, with the following exceptions:
•
750-337
CANopen coupler (the diagnostic image is not correct)
•
750-343
PROFIBUS DP ECO (the I/O module is not supported)
•
750-354
EtherCAT coupler (the diagnostic is not imaged)
•
750-354/000-001 EtherCAT coupler (the diagnostic is not imaged)
•
750-830
BACnet controller (the diagnostic cannot be disabled)
The field voltage and the system voltage are electrically isolated from each other.
