Monitoring Video with External Monitors

To connect  your Wafian  HR-F1 to  a VGA or  DVI monitor for external  monitoring, use the  VGA port  in the  rear 

panel.  For DVI monitoring, simply connect your monitor using a DVI to VGA adaptor.  This will mirror the control 
video interface displayed on the HR-F1 front panel at 1024x768 resolution.  For connecting to a monitor via HD-

SDI, connect your monitor to the HD-SDI Out ports in the rear panel of the HR-F1.  Note that video going into 
your recorder is simply looped out onto the HD-SDI Out ports, so it is possible to monitor video via HD-SDI while 
in preview, record, or playback mode.

NOTE:  The  VGA  signal  coming  out  of  the  HR-F1  can  be  transmitted  up  to  10  feet.    For  monitoring  at  longer 

distances, please use a VGA amplifier to strengthen the video signal.
