). The conflicting item is most likely one of the most recently enabled items.
6. Now turn off one or two of the items that appear to be the problem.
7. Repeat this process as necessary until you find the offending INIT. If the conflicting item is not
required, leave it disabled. Otherwise, check if an updated version is available or contact Wacom
Technical Support.
Manually Resolving a Conflict
If you have an earlier version of the Mac OS without the Extensions Manager, follow the instructions
below:
1. From the S
YSTEM
F
OLDER
, open the C
ONTROL
P
ANELS
folder.
2. Double-click the W
ACOM
T
ABLET
icon. If the Wacom control panel opens, the software driver loaded
properly. However, if you see the error message T
HE
CONTROL
PANEL
CANNOT
RUN
BECAUSE
THE
TABLET
DRIVER
IS
NOT
LOADED
, the tablet driver is not loading into memory at startup. If you have already
verified that the tablet hardware is working, the most likely cause is a conflict between the Wacom
Tablet driver and another driver or extension in your C
ONTROL
P
ANELS
or E
XTENSIONS
folder.
