Sewing a test seam
4 Hold the thread and the fabric with the left
hand and turn the hand wheel with the
right hand towards you in order to move
the needle to the starting position for
sewing.
The fabric edge should be 3 to 5 stitches
behind the needle entry.
5 Lower the presser foot lifter.
Press and hold the reverse stitch button.
Then, start the machine using the foot
controller. Release the button after 1 to 3
stitches and continue sewing.
6 Sew up to the edge and then sew 1 to 3
reinforcing stitches by means of the
reverse stitch button.
7 Lift the presser foot lifter, remove the
fabric and cut the thread.
Note
Try the pattern on residual fabric with 2 layers
and adjust the stitch length and the thread
tension to match the fabric.
1 Upper thread
2 Reinforcing stitches (at the beginning)
3 Reinforcing stitches (at the end)
