9. Use of the microscope in brightfield
(transmitted light)
9.1 General switch on
To activate the transmitted light illuminator, put the main
switch 1, located on the right side of the stand, to the position
“ON”. (Fig. 20)
9.2 Brightness adjustment

Turn the transmitted light brightness adjustment knob 2 to
increase and decrease the brightness. (Fig.21)

While rotating the brightness adjustment knob, the LED
indicator on the front panel 3 will turn ON or OFF some
segments. (Fig. 22)
9.3 Adjust the interpupillary distance
Observing with both eyes, hold the two eyepiece prism
assemblies. Rotate them around their common axis until the
fields of view match.
The graduation on the interpupillary distance indicator 4,
pointed by the spot “.” on the eyepiece holder, shows the
distance between the operator’s eyes. (Fig. 23)
The range of the interpupillary distance is 48-75 mm.
