Security
On the
Security
page you can reset the admin password, reset the user password,
configure the phone lock feature, and enter web server settings.
The security settings are also available as parameters in the configuration file. See “web
Module: Web Settings” on page 173 .
Administrator Password
You can set the administrator password on the WebUI or by using provisioning. For more
information on using provisioning to set the administrator password, see
“profile Module:
Password Settings” on page 207 .
To change the admin password:
1. Enter the old password (for a new VSP726A, the default password is admin ).
2. Enter and re-enter a new password. The password is case sensitive and can consist of
both numbers and letters (to a maximum of 15 characters).
3. Click .
By default, after bootup, the VSP726A alerts you if the default passwords (user
password and admin password) are still in use.
