the outside of the appliance, c) if the appliance is not to be used for any length of time.
• The room must be ensured an adequate supply of fresh air for the appliance to function as it should. In the
event that there is a non room sealed fuel-burning appliance (e.g. water heater, gas stove, etc.) installed in
the same room, check that the supply of fresh air is also sufficient for the burner of this appliance to function
efficiently.
• The appliance cannot be used to pilot the operation of water heaters, stoves, etc.; neither must it expel air into
the hot air ducts of such appliances.
• The appliance must expel air into a single duct (connected only to this particular product) or directly to the
outside of the building.
• The flow of air or fumes extracted by the fan must be clean (i.e. devoid of grease, soot, chemical and corrosive
agents, or explosive and flammable gases).
• Make certain that the inlet grille and outlet ports of the appliance are not masked or obstructed, so as to
ensure a free flow of air.
• Specifications for the power supply must correspond to the electrical data on data plate A.

The appliance must be installed by a professionally qualified
electrician.
•
The electrical system to which the product is connected must be in
compliance with applicable regulations.
•
A multi-pole switch must be used to install the appliance. The contact
opening gap must be no less than 3 mm.

The outlet/exhaust port of the appliance must be connected to air ducts having a nominal diameter of 75-80 mm,
or a nominal diameter of 100 mm with the supplied adapter.
General programming procedure
• Certain operating parameters can be changed, such as the duration of the delay, for example, or relative
humidity threshold, selecting the preferred setting from a list of preset values.
• Press the button (fig. 25) on the cover of the motor for 5 seconds to activate the programming mode: this will
access the menu allowing selection of the value for the first parameter (MENU 1). The led blinks once.

Each successive brief press of the button selects a preset value of the SUBMENU which is identified by a
corresponding number of blinks of the LED.
For example, if the MENU provides a choice between three predefined values, pressing the button once the
LED blinks once and the first value on the list is selected, pressing the button twice the LED blinks twice and
the second value on the list is selected, and so on in sequence. When the last value has been
selected, pressing the button again will recommence the selection sequence starting from the first value on
the list.

To save and proceed to the next MENU, press the button for 5 seconds. The LED will blink twice for the
second parameter, three times for the third parameter and so on.

When the last MENU is reached, pressing the button for 5 seconds saves and exits the programming;
The LED blinks 5 times.
• The appliance will also revert automatically to normal operating mode if two minutes elapse without the button
being pressed; led blinks 5 times.
