2. HOW TO ACCESS THE MODEM INTERFACE WITHOUT BEING CONNECTED TO THE INTERNET?

To access the interface of your modem, enter the following address in the address bar of your Internet browser:
http://192.168.100.1.
Enter the user name

voo

 (lowercase) and your password

Password

(WPA/WPA2) in uppercase; you can find this password on

the label underneath your modem (see p.3, 1.2). You now have access to the configuration interface of the modem.

3. THE SIGNAL OF YOUR WI-FI NETWORK IS WEAK

1. 2.4GHz or 5GHz?

When you connect to your wireless network, you can choose between the 2.4GHz network (e.g. VOO-123456) and the 5GHz
network (e.g. VOO-123456-5GHz).

The 5 GHz is suggested if your device supports it.

Each network has its own benefits. To increase the range (e.g. Wi-Fi on the second floor), we recommend 2.4GHz.
For better performance when near to the modem, (e.g. gaming on the network), we recommend 5GHz.

Note that the 5 GHz suffers less interference from your neighbours’ Wi-Fi.

The Wi-Fi security keys (WPA) are by default identical to those of your Wi-Fi network.

2. Wi-Fi Channels

It’s possible that your environment is saturated with Wi-Fi networks. If these Wi-Fi networks are configured by default on
the same channel, this may create a bottleneck that slows down your connection.
Compare it with a motorway. The motorway represents your Wi-Fi network and the traffic lane is your Wi-Fi channel.
If everybody drives in the same lane you create jams and the traffic slows down.
To solve this problem, you can change the channel of your Wi-Fi network manually.

3. The location of your modem and interference

Reception of the Wi-Fi signal may be affected by certain materials or equipment such as baby monitors, wireless phones,
wireless game controllers (PC, Xbox, PS3/PS4), microwaves, aquariums, mirrors, loudspeakers, etc. Avoid putting your modem
near to such objects.

4. Restart your modem

When in doubt, the best thing to do is restart your modem. To do this, unplug the power cable or use the ON/OFF button
on the back of the modem.

5. Increase the range of your Wi-Fi

Sometimes, the Wi-Fi signal may not be strong enough and we recommend the use of a device to improve your Wi-Fi:
A Wi-Fi PLC. With this device you can expand the range of your Wi-Fi via the power lines in your home.
You can find PLC solutions for sale in our VOO stores.

4. YOU CAN NO LONGER DETECT YOUR WI-FI NETWORK

1. Wi-Fi button / Wi-Fi LED

You may have disabled your Wi-Fi network by accident. Check the status of the

 Wi-Fi

LED indicator on the front of modem.

If it’s off, this means the Wi-Fi has been disabled. To switch the Wi-Fi back on, press and release the

ON/OFF

button quickly

on the front of the modem.

2. Is your Wi-Fi network enabled?

On the Wi-Fi tab of the configuration interface of your modem (go to myVOO on a device connected to the
modem), check the status of your different Wi-Fi networks. If these are disabled, go to the Wi-Fi configuration page

(Configure your modem > Wi-Fi)

and enable the desired Wi-Fi network (2.4GHz or 5GHz). You should now be able to

detect your Wi-Fi network.

3. Restart your modem

When in doubt, the best thing to do is restart your modem. To do this, unplug the power cable or use the

ON/OFF

button

on the back of the modem.

4. Resetting your modem

Restore the factory settings with the

Reset

button (see page 2, item 1.1 on the diagram of the rear panel of the modem).
