Coolant filter, change
1. Turn the valve (1) 90° to stop the flow through the
coolant filter.
2. Remove the coolant filter using an appropriate fil-
ter wrench. Make sure that no residue from the old
gasket remains on the housing.
3. Spread a thin layer of engine oil on the new
coolant filter’s gasket. Tighten the coolant filter by
hand until the rubber seal contacts the sealing
surface on the filter bracket. Tighten the coolant
filter 1/2 turn.
4. Turn the valve (1) 90° to start the flow through the
coolant filter again.
5. Start the engine and check for leaks.
6. Shut-off the engine and check the coolant level,
see ”Coolant level, check”.
