E Continuity check
Attention!
Make sure that all the circuit parts, switches and components
as well as other objects to be measured are disconnected from
the voltage source at all times.
Proceed as follows to check the continuity of lines, cables, wires,
circuit components, etc.:
1. Set the rotary switch (in the same way as done for the diode mea-
surement) to the position "
Ω
".
2. Activate the "SELECT" button twice up to the function "
".
3. Connect the measuring cables with the measuring instrument as
done for the resistance measurement and connect the test prods
with the test object.
4. An audio signal is generated for cable resistance values less than
approximately 70
Ω
. The cable resistance values up to 100
Ω
are
visualised.

Attention!
Discharge each capacitor before connecting it to the measuring
instrument. If capacitors are short-circuited, high-energy
discharges can be caused. Be careful in rooms where dusts,
flammable gases, vapours or liquids exist or could exist.

Do not touch the connections of capacitors with voltages above
35VDC or 25VAC. DANGER! Never carry out measurements at
capacitors which are installed into circuits/circuit components.
