c) Display Illumination
With the DMM switched on, the lighting button
(11) can be used to switch the display
lighting on and off. To switch on and off, keep the lighting button (11) pushed for approx. 2
seconds. Pushing a button is confirmed with a signal sound.
Lighting turns of automatically after approx. 15 seconds. The lighting can also be switched
off again early with the lighting button (11) or by switching off the meter via the dial switch
(position “OFF”).
d) Measuring Point Lighting
With the DMM on, the torch icon button
(14) switches the measuring point lighting (16)
on and off. Every push will switch the lighting (16) on or off.
The lighting remains on until the button (14) is pushed again or the DMM is switched off via the
dial switch (position “OFF”).
The lighting remains on after automatic deactivation of the meter. Observe this to
avoid unnecessary stress on the batteries.
e) Automatic Deactivation
An automatic deactivation function switches off the multimeter independently if it is not used for
an extended period. This protects the battery and extends its service life.
If the meter is not operated for approx. 15 minutes, it switches off automatically. Approx. one
minute before the deactivation, 5 signal sounds are issued to indicate that the device will
switch off soon.
The deactivation can be delayed by another 15 minutes by pushing any button (except for the
button for measuring point lighting (14) and the “MODE” button).
The automatically deactivated device can be reactivated with the “HOLD”, “RANGE” and
display lighting buttons or by operating the dial switch.
