3.4.1 ARTICULATION
Before inserting the probe for the first time make sure
that the articulation of the probe and the icon ARTICU-
LATION work proberly.
By default, articulation type „Absolute Articulation“ is
activated.
2. Remove the joystick and the probe head will return
to its standard position. The icon ARTICULATION stops
blinking.
Articulation type „Relative articulation“*:
The probe head remains in the desired position unless
it receives a new input signal.
3. Press the joystick, the direct access button
n
or the
icon ARTICULATION to unlock the tip.
Your system is prepared for visual inspections.
1. Move the joystick in one direction and hold the
position. The probe head slowly follows in the desired
direction.
Best tip articulation will be achieved with
at least the first three to four meter pro -
be length pulled straight.
The tip of the probe is locked. ARTICULATION is
activated. The icon ARTICULATION blinks red.

Never retract the instrument with
the tip in a locked position. This may
couse damage!
Before using the joystick, ensure that
the tip of the probe is released from
its storage position.
Never operate the joystick with insuf-
ficient space for the tip to follow and
move. This can cause damage!
Depending on the probe length reaction
time can differ.
