4.1
CLEANING
4.1.1 CLEANING THE SYSTEM
The system and its components can be cleaned with
soapy water, as long as the water does not enter the
base unit openings.
The VUSCREEN can be cleaned with any display
cleaner.
Never clean the light output with a
solvent (e.g. acetone)!
4.1.2 CLEANING THE PROBES
A dirty probe, if watertight, can be cleaned with soapy
water. Gently wipe away dirt or moisture.
Optical adapters should also only be cleaned with
soapy water, never with any kind of solvent!
4.1.2 EMPTY THE WATER CONTAINER
Draining the water container is neccessary every 3
months (every 30 operating hours). This process does
not require a viZaar
®
representant.
1. A reminder appears on the display. Place a bin or
small container under the base unit, before opening
the water container.

2. Press to continue the process. By pressing
the process will be delayed for 5 operating hours.
Your decisions are saved in a log
file on the VUMAN
®
E3 / E3+.
3. Use a flat-head screwdriver (3 to 4.5 mm blade
width) to open the water container by turning the
screw counter-clockwise (max. two turns). The conden-
sed water will drain off into the cotainer.

4. The reminder disappears. Close the water contai-
ner with approx. 1 bar pressure by turning the screw
clockwise. Repeat this procedure until the water has
drained off completely.
A reminder pops up every 30 operating
hours to remind you about cleaning the
water container.
The container is under preassure. make
sure not to oppen it in front of your face
or eyes.
Place the VUMAN in upright, so the water
can completely flow out of the water
separator.
