2. GENERAL USE & 

SAFETY WARNINGS

 

While using this type of 

machine, several basic safety 

precautions must always be followed 

in order to reduce the risk of fire, 

electric shock and personal injuries.

 

Read and understand the 

manual prior to operating this 

equipment. Save these instructions 

and other documents supplied with 

this tool for future reference.

2.1 - GENERAL

These preventive measures are 

essential for your safety. Use the 

machine always with care, in a 

responsible way and taking into 

account that the user is responsible for 

any accidents caused to third parties or 

their goods.

The machine may only be used by who 

have read the instruction manual and is 

familiarized with the handling. Before 

using it for the first time, the user must 

be instructed by the vendor or other 

competent person about the use of the 

machine and should obtain appropriate 

and practical instructions.

This instruction manual is an integral 

part of the machine and must be always 

provided. 

The user should become familiar with 

the control devices and the use of the 

machine. In particular, the user must 

know how to stop it immediately.

Stay alert and use common sense while 

operating the machine. A moment of 

inattention may result in serious injury.

Use the machine only if you are in good 

physical and mental condition. Do not 

use the machine if you are tired or 

under the influence of alcohol, drugs 

or medicines. If you suffer from any 

health problem, ask your doctor about 

working with this machine.

Never allow this machine to be used by 

children, people with limited physical, 

sensorial or mental capabilities, with 

lack of experience and knowledge of 

this equipment and who is not familiar 

with the instructions. 

This equipment must only be 

operated as described in this 

instruction manual. No other use is 

allowed besides the described.

Do not overload the machine, use it 

accordingly each type of work. Use 

of the machine for purposes other 

than intended and improper use of 

accessories may result in hazardous 

situations.

For safety reasons, any changes other 

than the assembly of accessories 

authorized by the manufacturer are 

prohibited. Any changes made void the 

warranty.

the authorized accessories through 

your VITO official distributor.

2.2 - ELECTRICAL SAFETY

The machine has double 

insulation, which means that all 

external metal parts are insulated from 

electrical components. Therefore, in 

accordance with EN 60745, no earth 

connection is required. However, 

double insulation is not a substitute for 

normal safety precautions, which must 

be fulfilled when using the machine.

Hold the machine only by the insulated 

parts, which prevent electric shock in 

case the machine comes in contact 

with hidden wiring or there is damage 

to the machine’s power cable during 

use.

Do not use this type of machine 

in explosive environments, 

especially in the presence of flammable 

liquids, gases or dusts. These machines 

create sparks that may ignite liquids, 

gases, or dust.

The supply voltage must match 

the machine’s technical 

specifications. Keep the voltage 

between ± 5% of the nominal value. Do 

not use the machine in places where 

the supply voltage is not stable. 

Do not expose these machines to rain 

nor operate them in wet or humid 

environments. The presence of water 

increases the risk of damages and 

electric shock. 

Never use the power cable to pull, 

carry or unplug the machine. Damaged 

power cables increase the risk of 

electric shock.

Keep the power cord and plug away 

from heat sources, oil, sharpen objects 

and rotating accessories. Check 

regularly the power cord’s condition: if 

it is damaged, it must be replaced by 

a qualified technician. It is not allowed 

to repair it.

Never modify the plug of the power 

cable and always use one compatible 

with the plug. Do not use any type of 

adapter.
