The combustion engine overheats:
•
The ventilation slots are dirty;
•
Low engine oil level;
•
Clean the ventilation slots;
•
Top up;
The petrol water pump is smoking:
•
Oil level too high;
•
The air filter is dirty;
•
Adjust oil level;
•
Clean/replace the air filter;
Strong vibrations while operating:
•
Loose engine housing;
•
Tighten the engine fixing bolts;
No flow rate at the discharge port:
•
The water pump is not primed;
•
Suction hose is ruptured, cut or damaged;
•
The strainer is not submerged;
•
Air intake to the suction port;
•
The strainer is clogged;
•
The suction height (height between the strainer and
the pump) is greater than the maximum height
defined in the water pump technical data table;
•
Prime the water pump as described in the topic
"Priming the water pump”;
•
Replace the suction hose;
•
Immerse the filter more than 30 cm;
•
Fit the O-ring and tighten securely, replace if damaged;
•
Clean the strainer;
•
Position the water pump at a height below the
maximum height defined in technical data table;
Low flow rate at discharge port:
•
Suction hose is ruptured, cut or damaged;
•
Air intake to the suction port;
•
The strainer is clogged;
•
Discharge hose has a very small diameter.
•
The suction height (height between the strainer and
the pump) is very close to the maximum height
defined in the petrol water pump's operating
characteristics;
•
The throttle lever is positioned at low-speed level;
•
Clean the strainer;
•
Fit the rubber O-ring and tighten securely, replace if
damaged;
•
Clean the strainer;
•
Replacing the discharge hose;
•
Place the water pump in such a way as to reduce the
suction height;
•
Pull the throttle lever to the left;
