devices are missing, damaged or worn
out;
 The fuel tank and its cap and driving
components are in perfect conditions;
 The transportation shoulder straps
and fittings are in perfect conditions
and well assembled;
Perform all the necessary adjustments
to the correct assembly of the machine
and if you have any questions or
problems, contact your official dealer.
Please check the local regulations
about the permitted hours to use
gardening machines with combustion
engine.
2.4 - WHILE OPERATING
While operating, particles might be
projected and be harmful to the user.
Never point the projection pipe towards
anyone nether animals.
Keep other people away from
the working area (Perimeter >
15 m). Never operate the equipment if
animals or people, particularly children,
are nearby.
The control and safety devices installed
on the machine must not be removed.
Only operate the machine on daylight
or with a good artificial light and
never use it under rain, storms and
particularly under thunderstorms.
Always wear personal protective
equipment. Using protection glasses,
a P2 protection mask, ear protection,
non-slip safety footwear, gloves and
helmet under proper conditions,
reduces the risk of injuries.
The clothing worn while operating the
machine must be appropriate and tight,
such as a work coverall. Do not wear
loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair,
clothing and gloves away from any
moving parts.
Move the equipment with both straps
on the shoulders. If necessary, ask
someone’s help.
In case of nausea, headaches,
vision problems (eg. reduced
vision), hearing problems, dizziness
and reduced ability to concentrate, stop
using the machine immediately. These
symptoms may be caused by high
exhaust gas concentration.
The combustion engine produces
poisonous gases as soon as it starts
working. These gases contain toxic
carbon monoxide, a colourless,
odourless gas, as well as other harmful
substances. The combustion engine
may never be turned on inside confined
or poorly ventilated spaces.
A massive load of vibrations may
damage nervous and circulatory
systems, especially to whom have
circulatory problems. Inform your
doctor if any symptoms arise caused by
vibration. Among these symptoms, that
occur specially on fingers, hand and
wrists, are also included loss of
sensation, pain, muscle weakness, skin
discoloration or tingling sensation.
While operating the machine, schedule
some time to rest and avoid using
the machine for long periods of time.
Permanent vibration is very harmful.
When using the machine, place yourself
in a stable position and well balanced.
Do not operate the equipment in
slippery, irregular or unstable surfaces
nether in rugged areas.
Pay attention to obstacles (tree
stumps, roots, pits). While operating,
walk step by step and check the area of
the blowing pipe outlet. Avoid walking
back to reduce the risk of tripping.
Starting the engine:
Turn the equipment on according to
the instructions given. Following these
instructions reduces the risk of injuries.
When the starter grip returns to
its original position, the hand
and arm can be moved quickly towards
the combustion engine. This kickback
can cause fractures and bruises.
When operating:
Turn the combustion engine off:
 Every time that you intend to leave
the equipment or if it isn’t under
supervision;
 Before refuelling. Only refuel the
equipment with the engine cold;
Turn the engine off and remove the
spark plug cap:
 Before leaning, lifting, carrying or
moving the equipment;
 Before checking, cleaning or before
any repairing works;
If you don’t have enough experience
on handling this equipment, ask for a
specialist’s support.
2.5 - MAINTENANCE AND
CLEANING
When carrying any cleaning, adjusting,
repairing or maintaining, wear gloves
always and place the machine in a firm
and steady surface.
Remove the spark plug
connector from the spark plug,
once an accidental ignition spark can
cause burns or electric shocks. An
accidental spark plug contact with the
spark plug connector may cause an
unintentional start of the combustion
engine.
Let the equipment cool down
particularly before performing
any maintenance work near the
combustion engine, exhaust’s collector
and muffler areas. Very high
temperatures may be reached.
