Question/Problem
Solution
The engine doesn’t start:
• The fuel tap is closed;
•The engine doesn’t have fuel in the carburetor;
•The fuel tank is empty;
The fuel pipe is clogged;
The fuel pipe is misassembled or folded;
•The fuel inside the tank is of bad quality, is dirty of has
aged;
•The cap is removed from the spark plug;
The ignition cable is misconnected;
•The spark plug has soot or is damaged;
Incorrect distance between electrodes;
•The air filter is dirty;
•The engine is “soaked” due to several attempts of start
it;
• Open the fuel tap;
• Press the carburetor pump several times until it is filled
with fuel, in that time the carburetor has fuel;
• Fill the fuel tank;
Clean the pipes;
Place correctly or straighten the fuel pipe;
• Use new fuel (proper mixture).
• Fit the spark plug pipe;
Check the connection between the ignition cable and the
connector;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
Adjust the distance between electrodes;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Unscrew and dry the spark plug, pull the starter grip
several times with the spark plug unplugged;
Difficulties when starting or the engine power
decreases:
• Water in the fuel tank and in the carburetor;
• The fuel tank is dirty;
• The air filter is dirty;
• The spark plug has soot;
• Empty the fuel tank;
• Clean the fuel tank;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
• Clean/replace the spark plug;
The engine runs irregularly:
• O filtro de ar está sujo;
• Limpar/substituir o filtro do ar;
O motor de combustão fica quente:
• The air filter is dirty;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
The engine heats up:
• The cooling fins are dirty;
• Clean/replace the air filter;
Strong vibration when operating:
• The engine fixation is loosen;
• Tighten the engine fixing screws;
