For children’s safety, do not leave plastic
packaging unattended.
Attention! Do not let children play with poly-
ethylene bags or packaging film. Danger of
suffocation!
•
Install and remove the attachments only after
the unit has cooled down completely.
•
Before cleaning the garment steamer, pull the
power plug out of the mains socket and let the
unit cool down.
•
Never pull the power cord when disconnecting
the unit from the mains. Hold the power plug
and carefully remove it from the mains socket.
•
Do not attempt to repair the unit. Do not dis-
assemble the unit. Should any failure occur or
should the unit be dropped, unplug the unit
and contact an authorized service center out
of the list of contact data included in your war-
ranty certificate and posted on the website
www.vitek.ru.
•
Transport the unit in the original package only.
•
Before putting the garment steamer away for
storage, remove any remaining water from the
water tank.
•
Keep the unit out of reach of children and dis-
abled persons.

Application
The garment steamer can be used on all types
of fabrics for smoothing folds on clothes and
for creasing trousers and shirts. If you are
unsure about steaming a certain type of fabric or
clothes, please follow the recommendations on
the product label.
If no such information is available, try to steam
the fabric on the reverse side.
When steaming such fabrics as silk or corduroy,
keep the garment steamer at some distance from
the fabric.
Use the nozzle brush (5) to remove lint or threads
from the fabric and use the attachment (6) to
make creases on shirts and trousers.
BEFORE THE FIRST USE
After unit transportation or storage at low
temperature keep it for at least three hours
at room temperature before switching on.

Unpack the unit, remove any stickers that may
disturb operation.

Make sure that the unit operating voltage cor-
responds to the voltage of your mains.
–
Wipe the garment steamer body with a slightly
damp cloth and then wipe it dry.
–
Press the buttons (3) and remove the water
tank (4).
–
Open the water inlet (10) by pulling the plug
flag (9). Fill the water tank (4) with water.
Do not let water go over the MAX mark. Close
the water inlet (10) tightly. Wipe water drops
on the unit body with a dry cloth.
–
Reinstall the water tank (4).
–
Insert the power cord plug into the socket,
press the on button (8). The pilot lamp (7)
will be flashing. Wait until the pilot lamp (7)
lights continuously.
–
Take the garment steamer with your hand and
hold it near the steam delivery button (2).
–
Press the steam delivery button (1) to begin
steam delivery.
Note:
You may lock the steam delivery button (2)
in pressed position for easy operation. To do this,
press the steam delivery button (2) and move the
lock to the lower position. To unlock the steam
delivery button (2), move the lock to the upper
position.
–
To clean the steam compartment, direct the
steam flow onto a kitchen towel, for instance.
–
After the unit operation, unplug the garment
steamer and let it cool down.
Note:
When the garment steamer is switched on
for the first time, the heating element burns and
may issue smell and a small amount of smoke.
This is normal.
Water selection
Use tap water to fill the water tank (4). If tap water
is hard, we recommend mixing it with distilled
water in proportion 1:1. If tap water is too hard,
mix it with distilled water in proportion 1:2 or use
distilled water only.
Steamer operation
–
Set the nozzle brush (5) or the crease attach-
ment (6) on the garment steamer (fig. 1).
Note:
If you use the steamer without attach-
ments, the distance between the steamer and
the steamed item should be at least 5 cm.
Attention!
–
Do not plug the garment steamer in if the
water tank (4) is empty.
–
Unplug the unit and wait until it cools down
before installing or removing the nozzle
brush (5).
–
Press the buttons (3) and remove the water
tank (4).
–
Open the water inlet (10) by pulling the plug
flag (9). Fill the water tank (4) with water.
