- Steam condensate in the upper steam
basket flows down to the lower basket,
so make sure of the compatibility of the
tastes of products being cooked.
- When you cook meat, chicken and veg-
etables always place meat in the lower
basket to avoid fresh meat juice get on
the vegetables.
- Cooking time of the food in upper basket
is usually 5 minutes longer.
- For foods with different cooking time:
place the larger items or the items which
require longer cooking times in lower
basket. As they cook, remove the up-
per basket filled with food that is cooked
more quickly if it is ready, then cover the
lower basket with the lid and continue
cooking.
CLEANING THE APPLIANCE
• Turn the food steamer off, unplug it and
allow to cool before cleaning.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or the ap-
pliance in water.
• Do not use abrasive cleaning products
cleaning the steam baskets, drip tray, up-
per lid and the body of the appliance.
• It is recommended to wash the steam
baskets, rice bowl, drip tray and lid with
warm water using dishwashing detergent.
Do not use the dishwasher for washing of
the removable parts.
• Wipe the water tank with damp cloth.
• Wash the steam baskets regularly.
REMOVING SCALE BUILD-UP FROM
THE APPLIANCE
Scale can occur on the heating element
during the usage of the food steamer. This
is a natural process which is connected with
the use of hard water.
For normal operation of the food steamer
remove scale from the heating element
regularly.
• Fill the tank with 1/3 white vinegar and
2/3 water to the maximum filling level.
Warning: do not use scale-removing
chemicals.
• Place the drip tray (5), one steam basket
(3 or 4), cover it with the lid (1) and oper-
ate the appliance for 5-10 minutes.
• Once the timer turns off unplug the food
steamer and allow to cool down before
pouring of the vinegar solution out.
• Rinse the tank with cold water, then pour
water once again into the drip tray (5),
place one steam basket (3 or 4), cover it
with the lid (1) and operate the appliance
for 5 minutes.
• Unplug the food steamer once it is
cooled, pour the water out, dry the drip
tray, steam basket and lid and take the
appliance away till the next use.
STORAGE
Place the lower basket (4) in the upper bas-
ket (3), stack the rice bowl (2), then the lid
(1).
Keep the food steamer away from children
in a dry cool place.
COOKING TIME AND RECIPES
• Cooking time depends on the volume of
products, their freshness, free space in a
basket and your preferences.
• Cooking time is indicated for the lower
basket, products in the upper basket are
cooked 5 minutes longer.
• Increase or reduce the cooking time ac-
cording to the amount of products.
VEGETABLES
• Cut the thick stems of broccoli or thick
pedicles of cauliflower off.
• Cook the green leafy vegetables in the
shortest time – they lose their color
quickly.
• Add salt and spices after cooking.
• Frozen vegetables shall not be defrosted
before cooking in the food steamer.
