Battery charging safety
• Use a standard 3-prong grounded plug and grounded socket.
• Do not use an extension cord or adapters to avoid the risk of fire, electric shock and
injury.
• Do not use the same socket for other activities when charging the battery.
• Use the default charger provided for this wheelchair to avoid damage to the wheel-
chair.
• Do not leave the charger plugged in, if the batteries are not charging.
• Keep the charger and batteries far from water and humidity, do not handle the
charger with wet hands.
• Charge the wheelchair in properly aired room.
• Do not cover the ventilator of the charger, to ensure proper heat exchange.
• Leave the device in stand-by mode until the battery is fully charged. Do not sit in
the wheelchair when the battery is charging.
• Do not break the battery charging cycle until the battery charge indicator shows
that the battery is fully charged..
• Do not put the charger directly on the battery.
• Check whether all parameters of the charger correspond with the parameters of
batteries and power supply voltage. Connecting a battery with different parameters
may lead to battery damage and to serious injuries of the user.
• When charging the batteries, pay special attention not to expose the wheelchair to
high temperatures and smoke, to avoid ignition and explosion.
• In order to avoid electric shock, do not touch the charger or batteries with wet hands
or other objects, and do not expose these elements to humidity.
• Check whether the charger switch is set to “O” position before connecting the charger
to the mains and before charging the batteries.
• Do not expose the charger to rain, water and humidity.
• The charging process should take place in ambient temperature , ranging between
0°C and 40°C. Charging batteries in other conditions may be unsuccessful or may
lead to damage of the batteries.
• If the charging indicator is not illuminated, disconnect cords for 10 minutes and
after this period of time try reconnecting them. If this does not help, contact the
service department.
• When the charge indicator remains yellow after charging for more than 12 hours,
contact the service department.
