2. CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS
2.1 FRONT PANEL

[ ] button:
Standby (energy saving mode) and Switch on button. When the instrument enters stand-by
mode, the light turns red. Pressing the button the instrument is switched on and the light turns blue; the
sound button lights (see point 9) are turned on in sequence. When the instrument is ready for use, the
lights sequence ends; then the [VAR A], [ACC ON/OFF] and [PIANO 1 PIANO 2] lights will turn on.
To
enter standby mode, press and hold the button for a few seconds: the light will turn red.

[VOLUME] potentiometer:
this potentiometer adjusts the volume of the internal speakers and the signal
level of the [PHONES] and [OUTPUT] outputs. Turn the knob clockwise to increase the volume; turn it
counter-clockwise to decrease the volume.

[REC] button:
press this button to start recording music (see par. 7.1).

[PLAY] button:
press this button to play recorded songs (see par. 7.2) or tracks supplied with the
instrument (see
par. 6.2).

[SELECT TEMPO] buttons:
these buttons are used to select demo and piano songs (see chap. 6) and to
adjust the metronome tempo (see chap. 5) and accompaniment tempo (Style, and Pianist Style, see chap.
4).

[METRONOME/STYLE] button:
this button starts and stops the metronome (see chap. 5) and selects
accompaniments (see chap. 4).

[PIANIST STYLE]
button:
press this button to start and stop the piano accompaniment (see chap. 4).

Style control buttons:
these buttons start and stop the Style, select the two variations, exclude and
reactivate the accompaniment (see chap. 4).

Sound buttons:
each of these buttons selects the sound printed above and below the button (see chap.
3).
IMPORTANT NOTES
The instrument’s speakers are located in the rear panel. Therefore, for a better performance, do not place the
instrument’s rear against a wall. Keep a distance of at least 30cm between the panel and the nearest wall.
The instrument automatically shuts down after 30 minutes of inactivity. To disable this function, see par. 8.1.
