The lock of an electronic unit can be operated if at least one
of the possible 1000 codes,
from 1 to 8 digits, is known be-
forehand. Before entering the code digits, the preset access
code must be entered, as described under heading 1.4, default
R

In the meantime, the display shows the active buttons:

, the system checks whether or not the code
already exists. If it does, the local lock is activated. In the event
of error, there is no warning.
If a mistake is made when entering data, press

Note
: The procedures described above are possible only with
the entrance panel at rest, i.e. no calls, self-starting, or configu-
rations in progress. Some codes can be employed only during
certain time bands. See paragraph 5.1.
Volume adjustment
YOU can adjust the external, internal, balance and chimes vol-
ume, during a conversation and with no need to access the
internal settings of the entrance panel. The adjustments can
be made only after enabling the function, as described below.

- Every time a button is pressed there will be a short “beep”,
an asterisk “*” appears on the display, and there are a further
25 seconds (timeout) in which to press the next button. If
the timeout is allowed to elapse without pressing any but-
ton, the electronic unit will exit programming mode.
After entering the password, press the
button to activate
the function. If the password is correct, the electronic unit will
briefly display the message:

If an indoor unit self-starts to this selfsame entrance panel you
get to adjust the external volume directly. Use the
buttons to raise or lower the chosen level. To save the chosen
level, press
. When the configuration is saved the display

Pressing the
button cycles through the adjustments of all
the other levels.
At the end of the conversation, which is terminated by replacing
the handset or when the conversation timeout elapses or if the
R
button of the electronic unit is pressed, the volume control
function is cancelled.
