DESCRIPTION
Types 1283 and 1285 comprise respectively an electronic base unit for the
assembling of two models of entrance panels.
1283 Electronic audio module with 3 traditional type push-buttons.
1285 Electronic video module with colour camera and 3 traditional type
push-buttons.
To increase the number of calls requires installation and subsequent pro-
gramming of additional modules type 12TS (for entrance panels with pu-
sh-buttons in single row, for more than 3 or 4 users, depending on the
configuration of the entrance panel) or type 12TD (for entrance panels with
push-buttons in double row, for more than 6 or 8 users, depending on the
configuration of the entrance panel).
The abovementioned electronic units are to be used with plates and
components of the 1200 and 8000 series, separately sold.
Each push-button in the electronic units can generate different call codes
with values from 1 to 99999999. The entrance panels are designed to ope-
rate either alone or with other entrance panels.
Example of standard module with camera.
Fig. 1
Entrance panel operating characteristics
- Option of adjusting the keypad backlight intensity, for optimum legibility
and energy saving.
- Camera LED brightness control (fade-in effect).
- Option of 8 (default) or 4 DIGIT operation.
Adjustments:
The front of the electronic unit (see Fig. 2) is fitted with the following adjust-
ments:
1 Voice line balancing control
2 External volume
3 Internal volume
The adjustments are factory set. Should the need arise, it is advised to
adjust only the external volume (by means of Fig. 2 trimmer).
The volume adjustment may cause the LARSEN effect (whistle); in this
event operate on trimmer 1 (Balance) or decrease one or both volumes to
avoid the whistle (Fig. 2, detail A).
ELECTRONIC UNIT
The electronic unit is equipped with a speech unit, colour camera (on video
versions) and 8 push-buttons arranged in double row. The electronic unit
occupies the space of two standard modules. The electrical characteristics
of the electronic unit are:
Supply voltage: 12V +/- 15%
Absorbed current (with supply voltage of 13.5V)
The standard electronic units for colour video panels are equipped with
a
high-resolution colour video camera
with the following specifications:
- Resolution: 480 TV lines
- CCD 1/4” color sensor
- Aspheric lens f= 2.7mm, F= 2.3
- Minimum lighting level 1.0 lux
All cameras can be tilted manually, horizontally and vertically, on removal
of the entrance panel external plate.
In standby, with low LED brightness (para. 25 = default)
86mA
At start-up, keypad LED intensity high (para. 26 = default)
96mA
At full power (answering call with camera and audio on)
250mA
Wiring for ter-
minal block
connection
Wiring for con-
nection of addi-
tional modules
Controls:
1 - Balance
2 - External volume
3 - Internal volume
Manual horizontal and
vertical tilt

The bottom of the electronic unit, indicated by the arrow in the picture,
is fitted with jumper J1 for current generator on/off activation (ON =
jumper activated, OFF = jumper deactivated). If the generator is acti-
vated, the factory-preset nominal output current is 25mA.
NOTE:
The pack contains a rubber gasket for fitting around the loudspea-
kergrill, which must be applied to the front of the electronic unit, only when
installing 8000 series entrance panels.
