Inserting a drill
Danger of burns! The chuck may be very hot!
During longer working periods, especially when impact drilling, the chuck can become very hot.
In this case we recommend wearing protective gloves if you want to change the drill.
Place the drill chuck key in one of the side holes of the drill chuck and turn the drill chuck key
clockwise.
Insert the designated drill into the drill chuck opening.
Tighten the drill by turning the drill chuck key counter-clockwise.
Make sure that the drill fits correctly into the drill chuck. Loosen drills might cause accidents!
Conduct a short test-run and make sure that the drill sits tightly even on high rpm.
OPERATION
Special work advice
Only connect the power plug with a socket when the power tool is turned off.
Never use the power tool in a humid environment.
Never place the drill chuck key into the drill chuck during operation.
Attach drills and screws to the impact drill only when it is turned off.
Keep the handles dry and free from oil and grease.
Make sure that there is no water or electricity conduit behind the place to be drilled.
Do not cover the ventilation slots to avoid an overheating of the power tool.
If the motor has intensely overheated, allow it to run idle for 2 to 3 minutes on maximum
rotation speed.
If it is possible, fix the work piece on a workbench.
NOTE:
When operating a power tool outdoors, connect it to a residual current circuit-
breaker.
Drilling/impact drilling
NOTE:
When you would like to drill deep holes in hard materials, such as steel or tiles, we
recommend that you first pre-drill the hole with a small drill. Start drilling with a
low rotation speed then change stepwise to a high rotation speed. There is a
better control of the drill and cracked drill holes are prevented.
