10.3 Trouble-shooting

Fault

Cause

Repair

Unit is not running.

Plug is not inserted;
power supply not available.

Check plug and power supply: if no defect is visible,
call refrigeration specialist.

Regulator is defective.

Activate emergency switch, see 10.2 Emergency
operation.

Power supply is too low.

Power supply must be 230 V+10%, 50Hz.

Fault code E01 or E02.

Temperature sensor in coldroom faulty.

Replace sensor.
At a temperature of >4°C, the unit switches off.
At a temperature of <4°C the compressor runs with
the last running and stop times.

Fault code E03.

High pressure gauge activated.

Check condenser for contamination, and clean if
necessary (see 3. Cleaning and maintenance of the
refrigeration unit) Check if condenser fan is running
Reduce room temperature.

The code remains in display and can be removed by
pushing either the [ ] or the [ ] button.

Unit runs continually
Fault Code E04.

By pressing either the [ ] or [ ] button, the
coldroom temperature will be shown again. The
temperature alarm will go off if the temperature
setting exceeds the value entered in P43. If the
temperature is still too high after the time set in P42,
the fault code will be shown again.

Evaporator fan is not running

Check to see if the plug is connected to the
evaporator fan unit.

High load of coldroom with goods.
Bring in less, or store at higher
temperature.

Observe storage dates and shelf-life of refrigerated
goods.

Too many stored goods, or they are
too warm.

Store less at one time, or allow goods that are too
warm to cool off more before storage.

Temperature of surroundings too high.

Reduce temperature of surroundings to a max of
40°C (e.g. ventilation can prevent heat from
collecting near the refrigeration unit).

Evaporator is dirty.
Condenser is dirty.

Clean heat exchanger (See 3. Cleaning and
maintenance of the refrigeration unit.)

Unit runs constantly and
evaporator is iced
Fault Code E04.

Door open for too long
Uncovered liquids in the coldroom.

Keep opening times short. Cover liquids. Start manual
defrosting (See Operating Instructions for Regulator)
If required, reduce intervals between defrosting.
(See Operating Instructions for Regulator)

Fault code E05.

Door contact switch is not connected.

Set Parameter P29 to 0.

Coldroom door open longer than set
in P45.

Close door.
